Neck Cyst Removed

Earlier this spring, Darryl

had a cyst removed

on the left side of his neck.

It healed nicely.

Whoever was the surgeon did a nice job

removing the cyst and the stitching.

At Easter, it was unnoticeable.

Developed Gout from Anti-rejection Medication

Darryl's feet hurt badly. At times he could not walk, the pain was terrible. At times, too, the pain in his feet would keep him awake at night. He had his check up before Christmas 2012 at University of Michigan. While speaking with his nephrologist and telling him about his pain in his feet, the nephrologist told him it is one of the symptoms from one of his anti-rejection medications. Gout developed.

Darryl's wife Eileen did research to find a natural antidote instead of taking more medication to counter this condition. Pure cherry juice Eileen found to be helpful. Darryl started taking the juice. Yes, it has helped him a lot.

Don't forget to always check with your nephrologist and your transplant team.

Happy Birthday, 13 Years

Another year has passed. Now we are celebrating 13 years.

Happy birthday, Darryl.

Transplantation Almost Thirteen Years

Thirteen years is just around the corner.

The yearly fall sounds never diminish the

kidney transplantation preparations.

This is Darryl (almost 13 years from the transplantation),
 his daughter, Olivia Luisa, 

and his wife Eileen.

The picture was taken in July this year at our

home. My daughter Julie,

her husband, and children were

visiting from Florida.

Darryl has an awesome family. He is a 

wonderful husband and dad.

You can see on his left wrist he has a blue wrist band.

I think Eileen got this for him, so professional

medical people would know that Darryl is a 

transplantation kidney recipient.

Pray for Darryl

Would you pray with me today for my son.

He is 35 years old and a 12 year kidney

transplantation recipient. He has developed

and has been diagnosed with DVT (deep vein thrombosis).

Please ask Jesus to heal him and protect him

from this condition.

Psalm 121:

"I lift up my eyes to the hills--were does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip--he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you--the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

both now and forever more."

Happy birthday, Darryl. Twelve years. Keep up the great maintenance.

Fistula Removed

This morning Darryl had his fistula removed from his left wrist. Surgery performed at University of Michigan Medical Center. Surgery time was 7:40 a.m., and he was out at 9:30 a.m. Surgery went well.
